About Us
Bright Stars Day-Care Nursery is a friendly and welcoming childcare setting located on the Mahon Road in Portadown. We first opened our doors on 20th June 2012 and have been providing high-quality childcare to local families ever since.
Bright Stars is registered to care for up to 71 children. We aim to provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment where every child feels happy, secure and valued.
Our nursery has four main rooms – Wobblers, Toddlers, Seniors and Afterschools – with each room providing activities, play and learning experiences suited to the children’s individual ages and stages of development.
Bright Stars is open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm. We also have an on-site car park, making drop-off and collection convenient for parents and carers.
The nursery is registered with and inspected by the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, and we are committed to maintaining high standards of care throughout our setting.
Since opening in 2012, Bright Stars has continued to grow, but our focus remains the same – creating a happy, welcoming environment where children can learn, play, develop and thrive.
Our aim at Bright Stars is to provide the highest standard of childcare within a happy, stimulating and, above all, caring environment. We want every child who comes through our doors to feel safe, secure, valued and at home.
Our experienced and highly qualified team is committed to giving every child the individual care, attention and encouragement they need to thrive. We provide a safe and nurturing environment with plenty of opportunities for children to play, explore, learn and discover the world around them.
Each child is assigned a dedicated key worker who takes a special interest in their care, development and progress. Having a familiar member of staff helps children to build strong, trusting relationships and supports a smooth and reassuring transition when they first join Bright Stars.
We also have our own nursery chef who prepares nutritious and balanced meals for the children, with individual dietary requirements and needs carefully catered for.
Children are at the heart of everything we do at Bright Stars. Our daily routines provide a healthy balance of play, learning, rest and relaxation, while giving children the freedom to develop their own ideas, creativity, confidence and independence.
We believe that working closely with parents and carers is an important part of providing the very best experience for each child. By building strong relationships between home and nursery, we can work together to support every child's individual development and give them the best possible start.
